Slowly but surely, the world is switching on to organic food.
And as the trend continues, Northern Tasmania’s Tamar Valley region is in a prime position to become one of the nation’s premier producers of organic produce.
But the process will take time.
Recently, food writer and organic food advocate Sherry Clewlow and Tamar Valley Restauranteur Daniel Alps hosted “Summit Organica”: a tour of the valley’s organic farms giving a small group of foodies the chance to sample their produce.
ABC Northern Tasmania’s breakfast presenter David Iliffe went down to the valley to chat with Sherry and Daniel discover the not-so-subtle difference between organic food and the rest.
